Holiday How to ... Smoky Eyes

Remember my gorgeous reunion makeover? Thanks to a lovely artist at the MAC counter, I rocked this sexy smoky eye look. Wanna re-create it for the holidays? I snagged this cute little eyeshadow set called Drama by e.l.f. at a local Kmart for $2. Don't cha just love this brand ... most items are only a buck or two!!

This set of grays have a really pretty glitter that add that glamorous look. I use the white as my base for the entire lid, the darker gray as my crease color, the black for my outside corner accent, and the light gray for the browline. With these colors, I line my eyes with black liner, but I am sure this look would look hot with a purple or navy liner as well. Your fave mascara completes the look!

Now, if you are brave or just plain experienced, add some false lashes for that ultra-glam look! I had lashes put on for my reunion, but I am scared I might glue my eyes shut if I try to apply them myself. Ha!

If all else fails, visit your favorite cosmetics counter for a free makeover. Give them a call to see if you need an appointment, and go in with some ideas in mind. Bring in a picture or two to help the stylist know what you are wanting.

I may do this for my husband's Christmas party this Friday. I won't be putting on fake eyelashes though. I'd love to, but mama won't be trying that one at home unsupervised.

I have a cosmetology license and took a class on how to apply professional makeup. This was how they taught us to do the eyeshadow. Love this look and it's how I do my own whenever I wear it.

I think that a smokey eye is such a hot look. The people at MAC always do such a nice job, but I've never had them give me a makeover. I think it's time to change that!

You can't go wrong with Elf products. The prices are so good. I've starting seeing the brand at Target. Thanks for the tips!
