Ugh. So annoying! I have been blogging since 2008, and never have I had this many spam comments! I have removed the option to leave anonymous comments due to this. Has anyone else been having issues?

I've been getting lots of spam lately too... I wish there were a way to block certain peoples comments b/c it's always this japanese porn blog that posts symbols on mine(always on the same post too)! I get a few from anonymous... but not enough to turn off anon. comments... YET. So annoying!
i haven't.........knock on wood!!! a while back i was constantly getting comments that were written in all chinese, but those have stopped.
ya, it's SUPER bad for me too....that's why I have to moderate them...

Sorry I haven't stopped by in awhile. I had to do a little "dusting" around my blog. I've been missing out on my faves with all the mess! :)
My blog isn't very huge so I don't have that problem yet. I'm sure my day may come though as I've seen it on other people's blogs.
I moderate my comments so I don't have to worry about that and I don't allow anonymous comments.
Most of the ones I've seen spam on are the ones where the originator hasn't posted in some time. I've seen them on active blogs too though.
I got my first spam not too long ago, but nothing since. I have never allowed the anonymous comments, so hopefully that helps knock them down a bit!
Ugh...those kind of comments are the worst. I've had to delete some too. I don't know who these people are or where they come from!
I get them a lot too...but I just go back and delete them! It is a pain, but it only takes a few extra seconds!

I have it set up to where I moderate only the comments that are on older posts. I get 1 or 2 a day. They're really weird though. There are no links or anything inappropriate. They're just broken English sentences that make no sense so I delete them. I haven't felt the need to do anything drastic yet. And they never comment on recent posts.
