I am getting very antsy. It is the end of March, and I have yet to see any sign of Spring. There are no sunny, warm days, no bulbs sprouting from the ground, no pretty flowers to ooh and aah over. I am jealous of all the bloggers down south who are having 70 and 80 degree days, while I am dodging rain showers just to fetch the mail. (Sigh.) I love living here in Oregon, but our winters are just too darn long. They are wet, gray, and depressing. They make our state nice and green and pretty, but to be honest ... this sucks!
I may have to go buy some spring blooms to stick in the yard. I can at least pretend that we have been having gorgeous sunshine to sprout up the tulips and daffodils.

Awwww, you should plan a visit to come see me. However, we are supposed to get 6 inches of rain over the next 4 days complete with severe weather and flooding. Just in time for my birthday celebration. Lovely! You should totally buy some flowers to stick in vases at your hizzie. Always makes me feel better.
Hey April...I have daffodils that are getting ready to bloom. I've noticed my tulips, trout lily's, and hosta are starting to come up too. And my neighbor that Ryan and I have nicknamed "crazy plant lady", has crocus' planted and blooming in her grass.
If you're looking for some refreshing color to brighten the after winter Oregon drab. Buy crocus bulbs, plant them in the fall, and they will do their job forever. You just plant and forget. They will start coming up even through the snow.
Very uplifting!
Oh girl, at least you KNOW what season you're in! We get 80 degree weather one week, and now in a severe winter storm watch. CRAZY. Too many teasers and small doses of actual spring weather. Drives me nutty!
