De-Puff

Reading through the latest People Style Watch, I saw an ad for the new Clinique 'All About Eyes Serum' and was instantly intrigued. Being an insomniac and also inheriting the dark under-eye circle gene, I thought I'd give this a shot. I went to the Clinique counter at Nordstrom (the great part about buying at Nordstrom is that you can return the product if you don't end up liking it) and handed over a birthday gift card ... $25.50, not too shabby for an eye serum.
It just so happens that I was having a girly emotional night and had myself a good cry (and felt so much better afterwards! Ha ha!). So the next morning I woke up with huge puffy eyes. Now this stuff ain't miracle cream, but it did reduce my swollen eyes by about half. Every day since, I dot the cool gel around my eyes before doing my makeup, and it definitely tightens and reduces the puffiness around my under-eye area. I haven't noticed any lightening of the dark circles (thank goodness for concealer!!), but I give this product a thumbs up. Here are Clinique's product details ...

Clinique 'All About Eyes Serum' De-Puffing Eye Massage
This instantly cooling serum helps massage away bags, refreshes and hydrates puffy eyes on contact. Brightens eye area immediately and over time. Combats dark circles, too. With caffeine, potent antioxidants and soothing botanicals.

How to use: Layer under or over any All About Eyes formula, or with our other eye treatments or makeup. Using gentle pressure, roll under each eye from inner corner to outer corner twice. Apply morning, night and as needed throughout the day.

- Ophthalmologist-tested.
- Oil-free, non-irritating.
- 0.5 oz.

My eyes don't get puffy, but I have super dark circles. I have yet to find anything to help that other than sleep. Ha! Let me know if the area lightens any.

I saw an ad in the regular People (May 10th issue, page 26) for Maybelline's The Eraser. I wanna try that! It's supposed to erase crows feet, age spots and fine lines. Maybe combining that with the Clinique 'All About Eyes Serum' would be the perfect beauty products!
