Plump It Up!

Like most of you, I have tried mascara from all brands ... my one fave that I keep adoring more and more is Rimmel London. Usually under $7 at your local Walmart or drugstore, this brand has always held up to my expectations. I use the black shades and am always impressed at their non-clump formulas. I was just about out of the Lycra Lash Extender Mascara when I saw a commercial for The Max Volume Flash Mascara. The model's eye lashes were obviously enhanced with falsies, but I was still intrigued with thicker looking lashes. I snagged a tube when I was at Target last week, and have been loving this mascara! Since I am not blessed with MAC #12 lashes naturally, I am always looking to achieve that look with mascara. Rimmel London uses Collagen, Keratin, and Lycra in their formulas to give your lashes a fuller and longer-looking enhancement without looking clumped and crunchy. I do not like the waterproof varieties (they just don't seem to apply as well), but I highly recommend this brand of mascara!

Glee

I have heard a lot of rave reviews on Facebook, but I never gave it a second thought. Then, my hubby came home the other day and told me not to laugh at his newest confession. Downloaded into his iPhone was the pilot episode of Glee.
I laughed.
He had me watch it on iTunes last night. While I wasn't overly impressed, I now feel like I need to get caught up to see why this show has such a big hype.

Music Monday - Katy Perry

I heart Katy Perry ... she is one of those girls that seems so down to earth and has such a positive glow about her. Katy has a sweet personality, and I love her fun style!
I am loving this song she sings with Timbaland ... If We Ever Meet Again.

De-Puff

Reading through the latest People Style Watch, I saw an ad for the new Clinique 'All About Eyes Serum' and was instantly intrigued. Being an insomniac and also inheriting the dark under-eye circle gene, I thought I'd give this a shot. I went to the Clinique counter at Nordstrom (the great part about buying at Nordstrom is that you can return the product if you don't end up liking it) and handed over a birthday gift card ... $25.50, not too shabby for an eye serum.
It just so happens that I was having a girly emotional night and had myself a good cry (and felt so much better afterwards! Ha ha!). So the next morning I woke up with huge puffy eyes. Now this stuff ain't miracle cream, but it did reduce my swollen eyes by about half. Every day since, I dot the cool gel around my eyes before doing my makeup, and it definitely tightens and reduces the puffiness around my under-eye area. I haven't noticed any lightening of the dark circles (thank goodness for concealer!!), but I give this product a thumbs up. Here are Clinique's product details ...

My girls are back!!! The Real Housewives of New Jersey ... who is watching the new season? This one should be just as crazy as the first. Danielle ... Can. Not. Stand. Her!! Caroline and Dina ... I want to be adopted into the family. Jacqueline ... I hope she shows loyalty to her family this season. Thick as thieves, yo! Teresa ... would love to be her bff! Hearing her speak Italian and watching her make red sauce with her family are just more reasons why I heart her so. ♥

The Break-Up

I know her heart is still on the mend from her split with Reggie, but I just couldn't do it anymore. I thought she knew me better. The first 2 months were amazing, but all has not been well for the last 3. Maybe I am being selfish, but when you get several chances to make me swoon and you let me down each and every time, I must say goodbye. Dare I even mention that I found my shoes at a Ross store recently? Yes, I did confront the issue and got a lame response. Three strikes and you're out, baby. I am breaking up with Miss Kim Kardashian and her shoe club. I hope all you girls that are a part of the Shoe Dazzle society are having better luck ... I am throwing in the towel!

Birthday Girl !!

My 29th birthday was on April 25th, and being I had my giveaway event last week, it is time to catch up!
This lucky girl partied all b-day weekend with friends and family ... a night out on the town with my favorite peeps on Saturday, and a family bbq on Sunday. The weather cooperated with some gorgeous sunshine, and I was showered with lots of love!

I didn't end up wearing my cute new dress, but it will get its time to shine at a wedding next month. We headed out to a comedy club, then hung out at a fun Irish bar downtown. The classic (jeans, cute top and heels) dress code was perfect for the evening.
