Diet.

Ugh. I hate that word! I love food. I big pink puffy heart food!! But since having my kiddos (gaining a whopping 85 pounds between the 2 pregnancies), I really need to watch my belly bulge. Yes, I lost all my pregnancy weight and then some, but the stomach still easily stretches. Before you all start rolling your eyes at this skinny girl complaining about her weight issues, bottom line is that even thin girls gotta watch themselves. My size two's ain't looking so hot when I am rockin' the muffin top over those low-rises, or worse when I can't get those jeans buttoned! I am all about shopping, but not for bigger clothes.
Back in the day, I used to be able to control my figure by eating only one meal a day. Yeah, it sucked, but it worked. I would wait until 4pm in the day, then eat one big meal to fill me up. I was getting all my calories in for the day (don't even go there with the eating disorder comments), I was just consuming them at the end of the day. My body would burn up the excess bloat during the day when I was at my busiest.
Some of you may be thinking ... why starve when you can eat what you want, then burn it off at the gym? Okay. Let's be honest here. I do not exercise. I try. I really do. But I don't see results fast enough and I am too tired lazy to keep up such hard work.
Now that I am 28, my body isn't so receptive to the quick fix program I would put myself on, so I have realized now that I need to simply watch my calories, and be sure to get my vitamins and water in!! Smart Ones by Weight Watchers has a fabulous line of frozen food meals that I just adore! They are so yummy and you can find them just about anywhere! My current cravings are the Three Cheese Ziti (320 calories) and the Broccoli Cheddar Roasted Potatoes (240 calories). Mmmm!! These portions really fill you up, too!! I also take probiotic Primadophilus. This is awesome for digestion and issues with upset stomach and bloating. My bff Betsy introduced me to it a while back, and now I always have a bottle in the fridge. I take a liquid multi-vitamin that my hubby gets at Max Muscle. It is a rapid absorbtion formula that has over 100 vitamins, nutrients, aminos and antioxidents. Energy levels improve, as well as immunity to the lovely sicknesses that run about this time of year. This stuff is awesome!!
So that's my daily scoop on my diet. What are some things that you do to keep yourself in shape?

Lots of cheers for the Primadophilus! I love this stuff! It also goes a long way in keeping you healthy, especially in the season of cold and flu. A huge percentage of viruses make their home in your intestines. If your body doesn't have enough of the "healthy bacteria" to kill them off then you get sick! Worth the money! Also, a big kuddos to you Friend for getting back on the train to more healthy eating habits!
I love ya!

I try to get to the gym 4 days a week...two for cardio via water aerobics and two weights and cardio if I have time.

Shame on you for reminding me to diet. Bleh.
I am trying to work out. We are getting back into the P90X, but its hard. I am only doing a couple days a week, but that seems to keep me at a steady weight while still eating some yummy foods. :)

I need to get back on the healthy band wagon too. From pics I've seen of you, I really think you look great, but I understand wanting to keep it all under control and watching calories and warding off weight gain.

The Broccoli Cheddar Roasted Potatoes Smart Ones looks so good and I would also be interested to see how the probiotic would work for me. I'll have to look into it. For now, I just take a one-a-day vitamin. I usually don't get sick, but was ill with bronchitis all of last week...no fun!

A Fond Farewell ...
