What's Up Wednesday ?!?

It's about time! That's all I gotta say about Kate Gosselin FINALLY going home from Dancing With The Stars. Unbelievable that she lasted as long as she did.
I ended up ordering the shoes I found online that I paired with the oh-so-fab dress I bought from Forever 21. How could I pass up the sale price and FREE 2-day shipping? I snagged them from endless.com and went through Ebates, so I got an extra 6% cash back. Happy Birthday to me!
I am so excited to be gettin' my hair did this afternoon! After a long and exhausting debate, I have come to the conclusion that I am just not ready to part with my long hair. So, I'll be getting it colored (dark chocolate) and adding some long layers. I am still too scurred to try out bangs, plus hubby doesn't want me to go there. So, for now it won't look like a huge difference, but I will be thrilled with a vibrant new color and layers.

I am lovin' this song by Ke$ha - Take It Off. I don't know 'bout you all, but she is one of my fave artists at the moment. Tik Tok is my ring tone, and I always dance around when I hear her songs on the radio.
And an update on that fabulous dress I posted yesterday ... Forever 21 had it in store, in my size, and it looks awesome on! I think J-ezzy was right ... those models are probably way taller than my 5'6" self and made the dress look short in the pics. It was meant to be, and now it is mine. Now to figure out a shoe ... hmmm. I love the ones I posted yesterday, but not sure if I could get them here in time (found them online somewhere). I am sure I could rock something I already own, too.

Birthday Countdown

Is anyone else as crazy busy as I have been lately? The sun comes out, and so does the need for a day planner! Oy! And of course, if I don't write it down, it ain't getting done. My brain does not hold on to anything anymore. I seriously cannot even remember what I had for dinner last night!

One thing I am remembering though is my birthday coming up this weekend! Holla! I will be 29 ... my last year before hittin' the dirty 30 (btw ... why are the thirties considered dirty? someone please fill me in!). While I think I have grown out of my shopaholic phase in life (being I can't even put together a birthday wish list), I still obsess over the perfect outfit.

On Saturday night, my hubby and I are going out with a group of our friends to celebrate ... woot!! I have no idea what to wear, and being its my birthday and all, I must go shopping. I was browsing online and found this fabulous dress for a night out on the town. Forever 21 has it for under $50, but it looks really short ... too short for even my liking. I was going to pop into the store this week to see it in person (although with my luck they will have never seen it). I am trying to figure out what options I would have if by chance they have it in store, in my size, and it is as cute as I imagine it to be. Could I rock it with jeans or leggings? Should it be altered into a top? What do you think?

Of course, if this dress is meant to be, I will need a hot shoe to go with it. I think the yellow zebra print pumps I just got would clash a bit with the style, so what about something like this? Strappy with ruffles ... would it work? Uggg!! I hate being indecisive! I should have had a contest to pick out my 'going out birthday outfit'! Ha ha!

Wish me luck on my shopping quest this week. With the way my brain is operating lately, I think I will just sit in the dressing room and let the store associates bring me outfits they like.

Okay, time to be honest ... how many of you are watching Jerseylicious? Come on - own it, girls!

Y'all know me well enough now to know that I have this train wreck on my dvr. Drama, animal prints, Jersey accents and attitudes all wrapped up in a beauty salon. So ghetto-fabulous!
My mom-in-law saw how much I drooled over these Naughty Monkey pumps at Nordstrom, and being the wonderful woman that she is, she snagged them for me for my upcoming birthday (April 25th, holla!). Oh. Em. Gee. I could sleep in these lovelies! They are hot. They are sexy. They are comfortable! I am so in lust with them and could totally be bff's with a guidette out in Jersey. Whadya' think?

• Finish reading Eclipse ... I started reading this on vacation, against my "don't read the books ahead of the movies" rule. I needed my Edward fix.
  

• Catch up on my dvr'd shows. There are a lot: Life UnExpected, 90210, Ghost Whisperer, Vampire Diaries, Jerseylicious, and Army Wives (Season 4 just started on Sunday!)



• Do Laundry. The never-ending battle. But will be entertained while folding clothes. See above.



• Straighten up the house. Again.



• Start posting here. My closet opens up on Thursday!

Sometimes days at home are much needed and enjoyed. Happy Hump Day!!

Back to reality ...

Ever need a vacation from your vacation? After laying out by the pool in the 88 degree sunshine (with the tan lines to prove it, woot!!), and not hearing my name "mom" yelled for 6 days, my brain is trying to un-numb itself. Ha ha! Hubby and I definitely enjoyed our break away and now it is back to the real world.
This week, I am working on the new shopping blog ... where you can shop from my closet! I am stuck on what to call it though ... free shipping on your first purchase if you can help me think of a fabulous name!! Seriously. I have never wracked my brain so much for a simple title.
And speaking of shopping ... I think I may have lost my mojo in this department ... GASP! I know. I can hardly believe this myself. I spent 4 hours at the Desert Hills Premium Outlets in Cabazon, and left with a Theory tank top, and a pair of Ugg slippers. I spent a good chunk of time in Juicy Couture and found NOTHING. We then went to the Westfield Mall in Palm Desert on our last night, and I found a pair of denim capris at Buckle, and a necklace and dress at American Eagle (two places that I could have shopped at here at home and not paid sales tax). Sigh. I even skipped my Shoe Dazzle order for the second month ... nothing has been exciting me lately. Should I seek counseling?
