A little dirt never hurt ...

My boys and I tried to take advantage of the warm sunshine while it was here for a few days. The zoo, park playdates, bbq's ... oh so much fun! Maddox and Sean were thrilled to be allowed outdoors and I enjoyed watching them run wild (and pass out hard at bedtime). Yesterday was our last warm day for a while, so we went out on the back deck and planted some flower buckets. A fun and cheap little project that we do each spring, and has varied between painting pots and picking out pre-grown flowers to transplant, or snagging some $1 buckets and a couple packets of seeds at Target. The boys love to help out around the house and feel so important with their tasks. They will enjoy watering their buckets and watching the seeds sprout and grow into flowers.
What are some fun things you like to do with your kiddos?

I like to take my son Ryan to play with his friend Maddox. It's nice because his Mom is fun to chat with! Ha Ha!

Glad you got to really enjoy your nice weather! Seems you tossed some of your OR weather down to us here ;)

We did some planting this year (yes on our back patio lol!) Danny is LOVING it and often reminds *me* to water his "begatables".

We got strawberries and tomatoes that were already started but they are doing fabulously - then we started carrots and "larry boys" from seeds and they have sprouted! There is nothing better than teaching these things to our kids!

Good times! :)

I let my kids run around in the street while I take naps. Is that being a bad mommy?

Well then it's a good thing I don't have kids! =)

Hey..I used to drink Monavie. How do I get some more of that tasty stuff?

Oh, Impulsive Addict is such a crack-up!!!

Lovin the bucket idea! We may have to try that one. Except I never have much luck with seeds. Definitely not a green-thumber over here!

ohhh that is such a good idea! I always let mine help me with planting my front flowers, but so anal I end up doing most of it.

This is so perfect for them..I never ever thought of doing that! I am going to get some seeds and plant this Easter week-end! Good idea Mommy!
