Hollister and Co.

I can't help but love this beach style company. I am no longer in high school and no longer in my teens, but I still like to snag a top every now and then. I'll be wearing this one at a bridal shower this next weekend ... not quite sure about the rest of the outfit yet - any suggestions? - but I will be sure to post pics!!

Excuse me ... do you have the time?

Isn't she gorgeous? The newest addition to my Juicy obsession collection.

My Go-To Gloss

This is my absolute favorite lipgloss ... Almay Ideal Gloss #305 Pink Shimmer. This sheer gloss brushes on smoothly and never feels sticky. It nourishes lips with aloe, avocado, sunflower seed extract and moisturizing coconut oil, with a hint of peppermint. It is soft and natural with the the most amazing luster! I wear it with everything - on casual days and dressed up! I get compliments every time I rock it, and I love love love the shimmery shine! You can find it at most drugstores, Wal-Mart, or any other store that carries Almay products ... and for under $8! Definitely a must for your make-up bag!!

I am so there!

I've seen a few posts on the Blogher event that took place in Chicago this year, and of others posts of Blogger meet-ups. As soon as one is scheduled in Las Vegas, COUNT ME IN!!

I'm just sayin.

Giveaway Part 2!!

When I hosted a giveaway last month for the YoBaby line of yogurts and 3-in-1 meals from Stonyfield Farms, I was also asked to host an exclusive Back to School giveaway for their YoKids products! This offer is only being given to 5 bloggers to share with their readers, and you get an awesome opportunity to win!! How exciting is that!!
First off, let me tell you how much I love the YoKids line of yogurts for my growing boys!
No fillers.
No gelatin.
No phony colors.
No use of toxic pesticides, antibiotics and hormones.
No artificial anything!

My boys love the squeezable tubes of yogurt ... quick, easy, no mess. They especially gravitate to the packages of yogurt with their favorite cartoon characters on them, as we all did when we were kids. But I just cringe when I look at the high amounts of sugars, and artificial colors and flavors. I normally do not buy organic foods, nor do I ban items with high-fructose corn syrup, but when I am buying something that is supposed to be nutritional for my boys, you better believe I will look for this particular brand! Wholesome, organic, and a great peace of mind that my kids are getting the nutrients that they need.

Here's your chance to win this great prize package from the generous folks at Stonyfield Farms!!

A YoKids Cape, A Stonyfield lunch bag, an Eric Carle growth chart, a Stonyfield Farm Activity booklet with YoKids crayons, and 5 FREE YoKids coupons along with a coupon packet worth $5.00 off other Stonyfield products!!

Entering is pretty simple with lots of opportunities to win!!
Follow my blog and leave a comment! (1 entry)
Re-post on your blog linking to this giveaway. (2 extra entries)
Shout out on Facebook and Twitter, and be sure you comment back with the links. (2 more entries)
Bonus entry for every person who drops your name in their comment as a referral!

This contest runs for a week, ending on Thursday, August 13th at 10pm p.s.t. Good Luck!!

Girls Night

What better way to enjoy an evening after the kids go to bed, then to watch a fun girly movie with my mom-in-law! We ordered up Confessions of a Shopaholic (about a girl after my own heart - ha, ha!!), made a big bowl of popcorn, and drank wine from cute martini glasses! To be honest, the movie wasn't as funny as I thought it would be, but it was pretty cute! And as soon as I can find a video clip of the Shopper's Anonymous meeting where Rebecca Bloomwood explains how she doesn't have a shopping problem, it will be right up here on my blog! It really should be my life's motto. LOL!!

Delicious

My amazing mom-in-law treats me and my sis-in-law to pedis every couple weeks. Lucky girls, huh? I ususally go for a french tip of some sorts ... sometimes the classic pink and white, sometimes a fun colored tip like purple. This last time we were in, I had my heart set on something rich and yummy, and I knew I wanted a shade of my fave color. Check out this gorgeous blackberry shade! This OPI color doesn't have a name, as it was custom mixed, but I am loving it on my toes!! So shiny and luxe ... flawless!

Shower Power

At my last salon appointment, my hair girl and I discussed the future of my hair length. I absolutely adore my long hair, but have been afraid that cutting 4 inches (or more - gasp!) is what it needs to remain healthy. My ends get pretty brittle and frayed, even though I don't use products on my hair. I have tried oil drops and leave-in conditioner on my ends to keep them from looking fried, but that only results in a temporary fix.
So, my hair girl reassured me that no drastic measures need to be taken, just a little trim more often than what I have been getting and quit using conditioner for a while. Say what!?! No conditioner? I have always used conditioner on my hair - to not use it would be like splitting Yin and Yang, but I have skipped that process for the last week and am actually surprised at how much I don't need it. We'll see in a couple weeks how my ends are holding up ... anyone have any tips?

Boys!

I am a momma to two of them ... ages 2 and 5. They are my little ragamuffins ... full of energy, and always talking. I was born to be a mom to boys ... my heart has never desired having a little diva daughter. That being said, let me introduce you to the newest member of our family. Yep, a tree frog my boys found in the backyard (photo not of actual frog, but of one that looks identical). Our tadpoles never made it, most likely due to me forgetting to clean the water (oops!). Hopefully this little guy survives a while ... afterall, I had to feed it live crickets this afternoon! Oy! I'll take frogs and dirty faces over pigtails and dresses any day! :o)

MAC Love

My 10-year high school reunion was this last weekend, so I headed over to MAC at Nordstrom to get my make-up done. Check out these gorgeous eyes ... I absolutely loved the look the stylist came up with!
First off, we primed my eyes with the Instant Response Eye Cream. This miracle cream has caffeine in it! De-puffs, erases the look of dark circles, firms, soothes and softens skin around the eye - all in one little tube!
Next up, we used Bare Study Paint Pot for a shimmery base. Very smooth and light-weight! To highlight the brows, we used Shroom. The creases are Smoke and Diamonds, inner lids are Dreammaker, and outer lids are Smoke and Diamonds and Dreammaker. We lined my eyes in Graphblack liner, added a little Charcoal Brown to define my eyebrows, then completed the look with Pro Lash #7 false eyelashes. So hot!I was worried about having a caked-on look, but this was flawless! It lasted all night, and even into the morning! Clean up was a breeze, too! I ♥ MAC!

Decisions, decisions ...

I have my 10-year high school reunion on Saturday night ... oh the pressure! Ha, ha! I am heading in to MAC on Saturday with my sis-in-law to get mini makeovers. Why not have the pros do my makeup for me, right? Here are some looks I found online that I like from E.L.F. (cuz I can't seem to find pics online for MAC) ... let me know which one you like best. I am totally up for other suggestions, too! Just send me a link to follow! Thanks girls!

And y'all think I am crazy ...

Our family has a beach house out on the Oregon Coast. We love going out there and spending time together, but I don't think there is ever a time we visit that the threat of a tsunami doesn't cross my mind. Thankfully our house isn't directly on the beach, or I wouldn't be able to sleep at night!
People chuckle when I tell them of my concern, but look what I came across the other day browsing the internet (and no, I was not searching for tsunami articles). Oregon was once hit by a tsunami, and this article is reporting that the west coast could experience another one in the future, and even bigger than the one in 1964!!!
I don't now about you all, but the ocean sneaking up on me is not my idea of fun. I'm just sayin.

A Fond Farewell ...

Wow! Is December already upon us? Good golly this year has flown right by! I have been a busy girl lately, hence the blog break. Unfortu...
